Very nice decor. Large helpings (more than I could eat, in fact, and I took home enough for my next lunch.) One can't get a margarita, but the beer and soft drink choices are many.
When I first arrived, I sat myself and was immediately brought complimentary chips and salsa. Soon after, the waitress came by and got my drink order; my beer came out in minutes and was pleasantly cold. No complaints thus far. I was recommended to try the Tacos El Pastor, an excellent choice. The tacos came out in under ten minutes, served with 3 limes, salsa, beans and rice. The meat was well seasoned, and the garnish of cilantro, onion, lime and verde salsa made for a very enjoyable experience. The beans and rice, however, were the standard fare: bland and under-seasoned.
My experience was overall good, but not excellent. If you like other Mexican restaurants in the area, you should definitely give Los Poblanos a shot.
Food is great, staff are very friendly and welcoming. Only downfall (which is a good thing for the business) is that everyone loves this place so some times there is a wait for the food but all good things are worth waiting for :-)
Good food, good service. Los Poblabos does a good job of having you leave with a full stomach, but lacks when it comes to authenticity. I heard great things about this place and finally decided to check it out. I was pleased that the menu included a lot of authentic Mexican dishes, but the execution was lacklustre.
Although the food was delicious, it didn't really set Los Poblanos apart from the other Mexican restaurants in the area. The price was fair and the decor was pleasant. I really think Los Poblanos could improve by embracing authentic Mexican cuisine, instead of under-seasoning their food.
Always nice people and more than enough food for a reasonable price
I went there 3 times in a week. The salsa is mild and tasty, you can ask for more cilantro and onion to amp it up. I especially like they were accommodating my vegetarian diet. I had the Speedy Gonzales and Lunch number 1. They are really busy during lunch hours.
